The chief driver of our tree planting projects is to mitigate climate change because trees are natural carbon capture and storage machines, absorbing carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere through photosynthesis and then locking it up. Also for some environmental goals like regulating water cycles, wildlife habitat, halting soil erosion and desertification, alleviating poverty and enhancing local communities’ health and livelihoods.
